Cardinal Newman Fellowship
The Cardinal Newman Fellowship offers a prestigious, full-ride work-study opportunity for graduates of Newman Guide colleges who are interested in pursuing second bachelor’s degrees in the Colleges of Science or Engineering at CatholicTech. The fellowship covers tuition, room and board, student fees and a monthly living stipend for the length of the program.
As a Fellow, you will engage in a dynamic work environment, contributing up to 20 hours per week to the university’s growth and success. This role includes mentorship from CatholicTech staff, allowing you to cultivate essential professional skills that will prepare you for careers in industry, startups, or academia. Additionally, Fellows will serve as mentors to incoming freshmen, guiding them through their professional, spiritual, and personal development journeys.
The program is designed to be completed in 3 to 4 years, depending on your prior coursework, ability to balance academic and professional commitments, and future career aspirations. For those interested in pursuing MD or PhD programs, a fourth year is recommended to allow ample time for developing a robust research portfolio.
Due to the program’s rigorous nature, generous scholarship, and commitment to the Institute’s mission of fostering future ethical leaders in STEM fields, the Newman Fellowship is highly competitive.
