Student Services

[Housing Policy ]

All full-time students of the Catholic Institute of Technology are automatically enrolled, on a term basis, in tuition, University Housing, and the University Meal Plan, unless they formally opt out by the published deadline. First and second year students may not opt out of University Housing or Meal Plan, unless they are married and family housing is unavailable, or they are recipients of the Diocese of Albano Scholarship for local students.

Students who are not enrolled in housing for the immediately consecutive academic term must vacate campus housing no later than noon on the day following the final examination of that term. Students enrolled in two consecutive terms may remain in their assigned campus accommodations during the academic break between those terms.

Christmas Break is an exception: the campus is officially closed, and all students must vacate University Housing unless a special written exception has been approved in advance by the Institute. To be eligible for Christmas break housing, students must be paid in full for the winter term.

Students enrolled in the upcoming academic year but not enrolled in the summer term may request on-campus storage of personal belongings, subject to availability and payment of the applicable storage fee.

Upon departure from University Housing, students may be assessed charges for trash removal, abandoned belongings, or damage to rooms or furnishings. The assessed charge shall be the greater of €700 or the actual cost of repair, cleaning, or replacement.
