Catholic Tech

Our Vision

We are dedicated to fostering a community of Catholic scientists and engineers who boldly engage with rapid advancements in STEM, while upholding the timeless truths of the Catholic Tradition.

Through interdisciplinary collaborations and innovative research, we seek to dispel the misconception that the Catholic faith is incompatible with scientific exploration—a fallacy that has caused many to stray from the Church. We envision a future in which the Church has reclaimed its long-standing position as a leader in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

We recognize the immense potential that technology has to benefit society. Our vision encompasses the development and application of emerging technologies for the greater good, as it is mindful of the ethical considerations they entail. We are forming the next generation of Catholic scientists and engineers to create inventions that enable human flourishing around the world.

We seek to foster a community of Catholic scientists and engineers who are well-versed in the principles of Catholic social teaching and prepared to navigate the complex ethical questions that arise in areas such as artificial intelligence and gene editing. Our graduates will be equipped with a deep understanding of their moral responsibility to serve their communities by utilizing their knowledge and skills to address societal challenges, promote justice, and contribute to the common good.

We are forming the next generation of Catholic scientists and engineers to create inventions that enable human flourishing around the world.

In the next fifteen years, we aspire to undergo a transformative journey from being an esteemed undergraduate college to becoming an R1 research university with the highest degree of activity and excellence in science and engineering. As the only Catholic polytechnic institution and R1 research university, we will establish ourselves as pioneers in research and scholarship.

Through our commitment to truth, we will inspire future generations of Catholic scientists and engineers to become saints and leaders who will build the kingdom of God.
