Course Objectives

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • Understand the principles of organic chemistry, including structure, bonding, and functional groups.
  • Apply the concepts of organic chemistry to predict and explain the reactivity and behavior of organic compounds.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in organic chemical nomenclature.
  • Develop skills in organic synthesis and retrosynthetic analysis.
  • Perform basic laboratory techniques in organic chemistry, including separation, purification, and characterization of organic compounds.
