Fr. Philip Larrey: “AI, the new technologies, and the Human”

Fr. Philip Larrey, Chairman of the Research and Ethics Committee at CatholicTech, recently presented at the 14th Annual Napa Institute Summer Conference, on July 24-28, 2024. In his presentation titled “AI, the new technologies, and the Human,” Fr. Larrey discussed “the ethical challenges and opportunities of AI, focusing on how we can navigate this new landscape with wisdom and care,” and how “AI impacts our understanding of human dignity and this importance of ethical guidelines to prevent biases.”

The conference, titled “What It Means to Be Human,” brought together hundreds of participants, including some of the world’s most prominent Catholic and Christian thinkers, to discuss pressing issues facing Catholics today.
