Campus Life Updates: Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, and Superbowl Party

Article written by CatholicTech Intern Casey Mahony
With classes in full swing and five new interns on campus, CatholicTech is bustling. On Saturday, February 8, students, staff, and professors hosted members from the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. Attendees gathered under frescoed ceilings in the campus lecture hall to enjoy hors d’oeuvres and converse about the affairs of both institutions. CatholicTech Co-Founder Alexis Haughey then gave a brief and insightful presentation to visitors before they embarked on a tour of the premises.
The night after hosting our wonderful Roman guests, CatholicTech welcomed a group of local Italians for a Superbowl Party. Father Michael Baggot opened the festivities with a Midnight Mass honoring Saint Scholastica, and afterwards everyone convened in the student lounge to enjoy fresh pizza and a plethora of chicken wings. It was a joy for all to close out a wonderful weekend by enjoying familiar foods, football, and fellowship. Stay tuned for next week’s campus life happenings!
